CoShot respects your privacy and gives you the ability to request deletion of your personal data. This document explains how you can request deletion of data collected through CoShot services, including any data obtained via Meta (Facebook/Instagram) authentication or permitted APIs.
1) Who can request deletion
Any CoShot user, account holder, or authorized representative can request deletion of personal data. If you are requesting on someone else’s behalf, we may ask for proof of authorization.
2) How to submit a deletion request
You can request deletion using any of the methods below:
- Email request: Send an email to support@coshot.in with the subject line “Data Deletion Request – CoShot”.
- In-app request (if available): Go to Settings → Privacy → Delete Account / Delete Data and submit the request.
- Website request (if available): Submit a request through the CoShot support/contact form on www.coshot.in.
3) Information we need to process your request
To securely verify your identity and locate your data, please include:
- Your full name
- Email address used to sign in to CoShot
- Phone number (if used on the account)
- Your CoShot username or account ID (if known)
- If you logged in via Meta (Facebook/Instagram): the associated Facebook/Instagram account name/handle
- A short description of what you want deleted (e.g., “delete my entire account and all related data”)
- Optional: screenshots or links that help us identify the account (only if necessary)
Security note: We do not require passwords or OTPs via email. Never share passwords with anyone.
4) What data will be deleted
Depending on your request and applicable law, we may delete the following categories:
- Account identifiers: name, email, phone number, user ID
- Profile data and preferences
- Login and authentication tokens (revoked/invalidated)
- Content and activity logs generated within CoShot (as applicable)
- Permitted social insights or page/account data fetched via Meta APIs (where stored)
- Support conversations and tickets (unless retention is required for legal reasons)
5) What may be retained (legal/operational reasons)
In some cases, CoShot may retain limited data where required or permitted by law, or for legitimate business purposes, such as:
- Records required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or compliance
- Dispute resolution, security investigations, or enforcement of our Terms
- Backups that are overwritten on a rolling schedule (deleted data will be removed from active systems first, then expire from backups)
6) Timeline for deletion
We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 7–30 business days, depending on the scope of the request, the systems involved, and legal requirements. If additional verification is needed, timelines may extend accordingly.
7) Confirmation of deletion
Once your request is processed, we will send a confirmation email. If you request partial deletion, the confirmation will specify what was deleted.
8) If you signed in using Facebook/Instagram (Meta)
If you used Meta Login, you can also remove CoShot’s access from your Meta account settings. Removing access prevents future data sharing but does not automatically delete data already stored by CoShot. To delete stored data, please submit a deletion request as described above.

CoShot reserves the right to verify the identity of the requester before processing a deletion request, to protect users from unauthorized deletion of data.
